Wanawsha Shalaby is manager of operations for the Sanghani Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, assisting the center director in executing the Sanghani Center education programs, facilitating outreach efforts; and organizing both internal and external the Sanghani Center stakeholder relations. In addition, she manages communications for the center, including the Sanghani Center social media accounts, advertising, and web content.

Shalaby is also program coordinator for the National Science Foundation-sponsored UrbComp Program and serves as student advisor for students in the Computer Science program interested in the urban computing certificate and/or the data analytics certificate. She also helps guide them through the Graduate School application process for the two certificates which are administered through the Sanghani Center and open to all graduate students at the university.

She received a bachelor's degree in political science from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in public administration through Virginia Tech's Center for Public Administration and Policy.
