Chandan Reddy’s primary research interests are data analytics and machine learning with applications to a wide range of real-world domains, including healthcare, cybersecurity, transportation, e-commerce, and business intelligence.

He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed articles in leading conferences and journals and serves on the editorial boards of the ACM TKDD and DMKD journals. He has also authored two books, "Data Clustering: Algorithms and Applications," and  “Healthcare Data Analytics,“  published by Chapman & Hall/CRC Press, in 2013 and 2015, respectively.

His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Energy, the Department of Transportation and various industries. 

Awards for his work include Best Application Paper Award at the ACM SIGKDD conference in 2010; Best Poster Award at the IEEE VAST conference in 2014; and Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE ICDM conference in 2016. He was also a finalist in the INFORMS Franz Edelman Award Competition in 2011. 

In 2018, Reddy served as Program Committee co-chair for the international conference on Advances in Social Network Analysis and Mining (ASONAM).

Reddy is a distinguished member of the Association for Computing Machinery and a senior member of the IEEE.

Reddy earned his master’s degree from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. from Cornell University.
