Joyce Newberry

Joyce Newberry serves as the grants administrator for the Sanghani Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.  Her main areas of responsibility lie in pre-award and post-award administration of grants and contracts for the center.  She puts  together large-scale proposals involving the Sanghani Center and partners within and outside Virginia Tech.  In addition, she assists the Sanghani Center faculty in post-award management by tracking expenditures and generating reports and cost projections.

Prior to joining the Sanghani Center, Newberry worked as grant accountant in Research Administrative Services at Howard University. She has worked in various accounting, grant, and financial roles in the non-profit sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA degree in accounting from Southeastern University.
